Abigail Leigh Spencer - born on August 4, 1981, is an American actor. She's best known for the roles she played in the movie Cowboys & Aliens. Abigail Leigh Spencer - an American actress whose work includes both TV and film. She is a TV star. Her roles in both the drama series Rectify as well as the sci-fi series Timeless made her a star. A native of Gulf Breeze Florida she made her acting debut in the character in the soap-opera All My Children. The soap show All My Children earned her an award from Soap Opera Digest for Best Female newcomer. Over the next few years she mainly played roles as guest stars on a variety of TV shows. In the series Hawthorne the actress was widely recognized for her role as her character Dr. Erin Jameson. Gradually, with her dazzling looks and amazing acting talents, she was able to grow a huge fan audience. Her film debut was at just twenty-something, and she was in Campfire Stones. Jekyll This Means War & Chasing Mavericks were some of her films. To honor her performance as a character in Beautiful Now she received a Madrid International Film Festival Award nomination. Her most recent work in TV is in the character of the history professor Lucy Preston in the sci-fi TV series Timeless. Spencer received an Teen Choice Award nomination and has also been praised for her work in this show by the media.
