Miley Ray Cyrus is an American singer, actress, songwriter, and actor. Her distinctive , raspy voice is the hallmark of her music that incorporates elements from a variety of styles and genres , including country pop, rock experimental, pop and rock. With 13 entries, Cyrus holds the record for the most US Billboard 200 top five albums of the 21st century by an artist of female gender. The controversy over her personal lifestyle, public appearance and performance has always attracted media attention. Cyrus was born to Billy Ray Cyrus and became an idol for teens as she played the title character in the Disney Channel television show Hannah Montana (2006)-2011. She was Hannah Montana's first and third-five top five soundtracks, and also the US Billboard Hot 100 Top-ten single "He Could be the One." Cyrus's personal discography includes US number one albums Meet Miley Cyrus (2007), Breakout (2008) and Bangerz (2012) as well as the top five releases Can't Be Tamed (2017), Younger Now (2017) and Plastic Hearts (2020); as well as Miley Cyrus and His Dead Petz (2015). In her role as an actress Cyrus has made appearances in the animated film Bolt (2008) and in the feature films Hannah Montana: The Movie (2009) and The Last Song (2010). On television, Cyrus played an instructor on the singing competition series The Voice across two seasons, and was a guest on the season finale "Rachel, Jack and Ashley Too" of the Netflix series Black Mirror (2019). Cyrus is a vocal advocate for the rights of animals. In 2014, she embraced a vegan lifestyle. She started the Happy Hippie Foundation in 2014. It focuses on youth homeless as well as the LGBT community.
